History
ECWA Foundation for Wholistic Care is a merged Unit of the Community Integrated Health Development Advancement (TEAM-CIHDA) and the Relief Foundation of ECWA (RFE). It is a commendable initiative that aims at addressing humanitarian, church, and society needs. It was formally called The ECWA AIDS Ministry (TEAM).
It was established in 1996 with the mandate of reaching out to underserved communities with interventions that bring about healthy living and improved well-being.
The Relief Foundation of ECWA existed for more than 10 years before it was formally registered with the CAC in 2020 to carry out humanitarian services to the persecuted Christians and communities in Nigeria.
As a merged unit, now primarily a coordinating hub for ECWA in HIV and AIDS intervention, gender issues, maternal and child health, peace building, humanitarian interventions, Care and support for the vulnerable people, emergency response and capacity building within the church and society.
However, we operate beyond ECWA as the church denomination that owns it and does not discriminate in service provision whatsoever.

Summary of who we are
We are the practical Jesus of our time. (Jesus walked throughout the region and demonstrated God’s power by healing every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the vast crowd of people, Jesus was deeply moved with compassion, because they were harassed and helpless, like wandering sheep without a shepherd (Matthew 9:35-36).
